University Honors Program
#SIUDAY March 1, 2017

University Honors Program (UHP) is a university-wide undergraduate program intended to reward SIU’s best students for their high academic achievements. A hallmark of the program is the emphasis on community, diversity, leadership, service, lifelong learning, global awareness and research and a commitment to providing both experience and opportunity to foster these values.  The heart of UHP is its small classes, unique in character and specially created for UHP students by outstanding UHP faculty to satisfy requirements of the University Core Curriculum and as well as in the student’s major.

Your contribution is an investment in the outstanding UHP students and the program. We are grateful for our generosity.

University Honors Program Development Fund:  To support the University Honors Program.

University Honors Prog International Experience Fund:  Support participation in a Study Abroad experience for UHP students who have a financial need.

Pam Huller Gwaltney Memorial Schp Endowment:  Provides annual scholarships for University Honors Program students who maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA, with a preference for students demonstrating leadership skills and involvement in civic engagement activities.
