The College of Agricultural Sciences is where science and technology, business and farm management, education and production, public policy and public health, conservation and resource management converge. This is truly a college that knows no bounds with classrooms that include 2,000 acres of University Farms featuring crop and animal production, an Equine Center and greenhouse, Research Centers, the vast resources of the Shawnee National Forest, and access to specialized farming including Southern Illinois’ wine and fruit country.
The central purpose of the College is to focus on the critical issues in agriculture, food, and forestry in the region, in the State of Illinois, and especially those issues that are applicable worldwide. The College is made up of four departments: Agribusiness Economics, Animal Science, Food and Nutrition, Forestry, and Plant, Soil & Agricultural Systems. The College provides academic instruction to nearly 900 undergraduate and graduate students.

Agribusiness Economics Fund: To enhance and further the mission of the Agribusiness Economics Department.
Animal Science Fund: To enhance and further the mission of the department.
Food and Nutrition Fund: To be used for student scholarships and other program needs.
Plant, Soil, and Agricultural Sytems Fund: To enhance and further the mission of the Plant, Soil, and Agricultural Systems Department.
Forestry Department Development Fund: To enhance and further the mission of the Forestry Department.
Agbassador Program: Support the Agbassador Program and expenses related to student and advisor travel to conferences and also graduate assistantships.
FFA Officer Scholarship Fund: This account has been established to provide scholarship support to attend SIU to state officers within the Illinois FFA organization.
University Farms General Fund: To provide general operation expenses related to the University Farms.
Ag Sciences Student Emergency Fund: funds used to support students who have a need for emergency funding to help with retention of the college.
Ag Sciences Scholarship Fund: To provide scholarships to College of Agricultural Sciences students.
Ag Dean's Development Fund: To enhance and further the mission of the College of Agricultural Sciences.
