Help us celebrate 150 years by making an impact.
As the largest and oldest organization on campus, the SIU Alumni Association has been proudly serving SIU alumni and friends since 1896. It seeks to engage alumni, students and friends of the university by preserving SIU traditions, promoting pride in a SIU education, and facilitating opportunities for students and alumni to connect professionally. Today, the Association has continued to grow and serves as a connection between many alumni, as well as family and friends of the university. The Association plays a major role in key university functions and works closely with various campus departments on events and programs that support the institution’s mission.
Your contribution is an investment in our students’ success. We are thankful for your generosity.
Saluki Alumni Plaza: With Southern Illinois University approaching its 150th anniversary, the SIU Alumni Association’s board of directors has laid the groundwork for a new structure on campus and launched a fundraising campaign to complete it by Homecoming 2019. Alumni Plaza will be a new focal point for students and alumni on the Carbondale campus once completed. Located between Pulliam and Woody halls, the plaza will center on sculptures of three Saluki dogs.
Class of 1968 Class Gift: We have chosen for our class gift to support the recruitment efforts of our great alma mater. Through this effort, we can ensure potential students are aware of the many opportunities available at SIU. Our contribution will assist Southern’s Saluki Student Caravan program. Groups of high-achieving SIU students will visit high schools south of U.S. 64 that have SIU alumni as administrators.
If you choose to contribute, your support up to $3,000 will be matched by the SIU Alumni Association.
