Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s goal is to provide a welcoming campus where all of our students, faculty and staff can study and work in a respectful, positive environment free from racism and intimidation.

SIUC Minority Scholarship Endowment Fund: This scholarship was established through the support of SIU Carbondale alumni and friends. Scholars must be full-time undergraduate students at SIU Carbondale in good standing with the University, have successfully completed one semester of school, and a preference that the student be a member of a minority group.

African-American Achievement Scholarship Endowment Fund​: This scholarship was established through the support of SIU Carbondale alumni and friends. Scholars must be full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least 30 hours (12 at SIUC), have a minimum GPA of 2.7 and a preference that the student be of African American heritage.

Asian-American Fund: This scholarship was established through the support of SIU Carbondale alumni and friends. Scholars must be full-time undergraduate students at SIUC who have completed a minimum of 30 hours (12 at SIUC), have a minimum GPA of 2.7 and a preference that the student be of Asian-American heritage. 

Hispanic-American Fund: This scholarship was established through the support of SIU Carbondale alumni and friends. Scholars must be full-time undergraduate students at SIUC who have completed a minimum of 30 hours (12 at SIUC), have a minimum GPA of 2.7, and a preference that the student be of Hispanic-American heritage. 

Native-American Fund: This scholarship was established through the support of SIU Carbondale alumni and friends. Scholars must be full-time undergraduate students at SIUC who have completed a minimum of 30 hours (12 at SIUC), have a minimum GPA of 2.7, and a preference that the student be of Native-American heritage.
