There are numerous opportunities for students to participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom including research, design competitions, service-oriented projects and leadership development activities. The college’s bachelor’s degree, master's degree, doctoral degree, and concurrent masters with J.D. degree programs, housed under our academic schools and departments, along with other programs and research centers, provide the framework for discovery. They include: Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Energy Processes, Mining and Mineral Resources Engineering, Applied Engineering and Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics, and the Engineering Science Ph.D.

Engineering Scholarship Fund: Funds raised are used to provide scholarships for students in the College of Engineering.
Engineering Excellence Fund: Funds raised are used to support Engineering and Technology in the college. This includes but is not limited to much needed equipment and labs for faculty and students.
Success in Engineering Through Excellence and Diversity (SEED) Fund: Funds raised support the operation of the Minority Engineering Program in the College of Engineering.
Leadership Development Program Fund: This fund is used to support student activities as determined by the Director of LDP.
LDP Student Project and Activities Fund: Members of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) are expected to participate and lead various activities throughout their time at SIU. Fund raised support these student activities.
