Strong Survivors
Every Gift Matters

On Day of Giving 2023, Strong Survivors ( is attempting to raise funds to support our student staff members.   Strong Survivors runs on people-power.  Without our student staff members volunteering their time, talent, enthusiasm, diligence, and compassion to work with our participants, we would not be able to impact cancer survivor and caregiver quality of life as successfully as we do.  If we can lend our student staff a helping hand in even a small way, it would be the right thing to do.

Thank you in advance for your generous support!

Dr. Phil Anton and the Strong Survivors Participants and Staff

The Strong Survivors Exercise and Nutrition Program for Cancer Survivors and Caregivers utilizes exercise as a therapeutic tool to help cancer survivors and caregivers get through the treatment and recovery process.  Exercise programs are individualized for each participant and are based on medical and fitness histories, initial fitness assessment results, and quality of life goals. The programs are created and administered by SIUC students who serve as the participant’s personal trainer/exercise test technician.
